Do you accept intact (unneutered or unspayed) dogs?
Yes — Dogs R Dogs welcomes intact dogs of all ages. We evaluate every dog individually based on behavior and temperament, not neutering status. This makes us one of the very few dog daycares in Houston that don’t require dogs to be spayed or neutered before joining.
If you’ve been turned away elsewhere because your dog is intact, you’ve found the right place. Call us at (281) 815-2871 or visit our contact page (or the button on the bottom of this page) to schedule an intake evaluation.

How do I get started? What does the first visit look like?
The first step is your dog’s intake evaluation — we call it a meet and greet. We spend time getting to know your dog’s personality, energy level, and how they interact with other dogs so we can place them in the right playgroup from day one.
It’s relaxed, low-pressure, and takes about 30–45 minutes. There’s no commitment required — just a chance for us to meet your dog and for you to see the facility and meet the team.
To schedule your evaluation, call us at (281) 815-2871 or use our online booking. We’re open Monday–Friday 7 AM–7 PM and Saturday 10 AM–5 PM.

What sizes and breeds do you accept?
We welcome dogs of all sizes and breeds — from Chihuahuas to Great Danes. Dogs are grouped by size and temperament, so every dog has a safe, comfortable experience with the right playmates.
Have a question about your specific dog before coming in? Call us at (281) 815-2871 — we’re happy to talk it through.

Are you locally owned? What makes Dogs R Dogs different from the corporate chains?
Yes — Dogs R Dogs has been independently owned and operated since we opened in 2011. We’re not a franchise, and we never have been.
That means the same team, the same faces, and real relationships built over time — with you and your dog. Our staff knows your dog by name. You’re not a booking number here.
We’re proud to serve the Upper Kirby, Montrose, and River Oaks communities as a locally owned, woman-owned, minority-owned alternative to the corporate chains that have moved into the area. Fifteen years in this neighborhood means something to us — and we think it shows.

What services do you offer beyond daycare?
Dogs R Dogs is a full-service facility — everything your dog needs under one roof:
- Daycare — structured playgroups, supervised throughout the day
- Overnight boarding — familiar faces, familiar place
- Grooming & bathing — breed-appropriate grooming by experienced staff
- Spa treatments — because your dog deserves it
- Treat lounge — a little something special
We’re located at 3113 South Shepherd Dr. in Upper Kirby, open Monday–Friday 7 AM–7 PM and Saturday 10 AM–5 PM.

How do I know my dog will be safe?
Every dog completes an evaluation before joining daycare. We learn their temperament, energy level, and social style — and we use that to place them in the right playgroup with the right dogs.
Our staff supervises throughout the day and knows each dog individually. This isn’t a drop-and-go operation. We’ve been doing this since 2011, and the trust our clients place in us is something we take seriously every single day.
If you have specific concerns about your dog’s health, behavior, or past experiences, call us before you come in. We’d rather have that conversation up front than have you worry. (281) 815-2871

What vaccinations does my dog need before starting?
For the safety of all dogs in our care, we require proof of current vaccinations before your dog’s first visit. Required vaccinations include rabies, bordetella (kennel cough), and DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, parainfluenza). Please bring documentation from your veterinarian to your evaluation appointment. If you have questions about specific vaccination requirements, call us at (281) 815-2871, and we’ll be happy to help.
